Wynscreen Art Program, Wynyard Station

Immersive and inspiring, Wynscreen combines art, culture and technology to create a series of visual experiences. It brings the world of innovative art to everyone, every day.

Transport for NSW

Wynscreen is a 23 metre long LED screen seen by 30,000 commuters a day showcasing works by internationally renowned and emerging Australian artists. Cultural Capital curated, commissioned and programmed the ambitious collection of eighteen works in partnership with guest moving-image curator, Alessio Cavallaro. The result is a dramatic addition to art in Sydney’s public domain, and the city’s most dynamic site for digital and moving image art.

Purpose-designed and dedicated as a public art site, Wynscreen commissions explore themes of time, travel and place through Indigenous history, multicultural personality, and creative imaginations. It engages with the ways our past has shaped who we are, where we are and what we may become.
