Gina Mobayed

Curator

Gina is a curator who works with contemporary artists. She produces ambitious new works that connect communities and collectors to contemporary art. Gina is situated both within artist studios, working through ideas and in the field, understanding the needs and challenges of the audience that awaits. 
 
She facilitates experimentation, dialogue and exchange between the many artists and clients she works with. Gina was formerly the Director, Goulburn Regional Art Gallery and there she delivered national touring initiatives for artists Arlo Mountford and Barbara Cleveland, a city wide public art program, local residencies, a diverse exhibition program as well as serving the community through accessible learning and creative initiatives. She holds specialist skills in collection management, building Goulburn’s in to one of national significance, and through her work at Artbank. Gina sits on the Advisory Board at UNSW Galleries and was formerly a co director of Firstdraft.
