Announcing the launch of the Sydney Football Stadium Public Art Program
August 3, 2022
We are beyond excited to celebrate the launch of the Sydney Football Stadium Public Art Program!
Commissioned by Infrastructure NSW and curated by Cultural Capital, the Public Art Program presents an ambitious collection of art works responding to ideas of ‘Ritual and Spectacle’. The program features artist-designed stadium seats by Tony Albert, a sports surface by Dennis Golding, a wind screen featuring the artwork of Gary Carsley, a sculpture commission from Dinni Kemarre Kunoth, an immersive sound installation by Tina Havelock Stevens, and a video commission by Carmen Glynn-Braun and Marilyn Russell.
The project has been a triumphant collaboration between John Holland Group, Infrastructure NSW and the participating artists, and we can’t wait for everyone to enjoy it.
You can explore the brochure about the Public Art Program ahead of the stadium opening here.
