Cultural Capital is thrilled to see our latest major commission coming to life at the new Sydney Football Stadium.
Visible from the seats to the skies, Tony Albert’s piece ‘Two worlds colliding’ represents two teams, Land and Water, that meet and gather at the stadium to explore ideas of ceremony, friendly competition, and ritual. The design embeds the idea of Country atop the stadium seats to layer Country, Stadium and Country again.
In the words of Tony Albert, “The intersection between art, sport and culture intertwines and creates a rare opportunity to bring us all together in a meaningful way.”
