We’ve been having a fantastic time working with Bidjigal artists Marilyn Russell and Aunty Esme Timbery. The daughter and mother, well-known for their shell work, have joined forces for this commission.

The project is a major new public artwork. Our collaborative team includes architects CM+, who as well as being the designers of the building, have been integrally involved in our very hands-on curatorial process, led by Cultural Capital curator Cathy Drew. We can’t wait to see this work, which will be a powerful Indigenous statement coming to fruition in the near future.
